OpusCapita® Case Good forecasts are a high priority at Capio The timing was spot on when the healthcare company Capio purchased OpusCapita Liquidity Management last spring. In November, Capio was acquired by Apax and Nordic Capital, and the new owners put greater emphasis on liquidity, good forecasts and working capital management. Peter Stålstad, the Treasury Manager at Capio, says that OpusCapita Liquidity Management is a good tool for these. The company provides, for example, hospital and specialised clinic services as well as services in laboratory medicine and imaging. The corporate head office is in Gothenburg, where corporate financial operations are coordinated also. Since the various business areas of the company are spread across different countries, it is important for reporting to function efficiently. "Previously, we were not very good at preparing forecasts. We prepared monthly forecasts using Excel templates of varying quality, and they soon became outdated. Our subsidiaries were not very enthusiastic about this. They did not receive any feedback and viewed forecasts as mere head office formalities," Stålstad says.
