OpusCapita® Case Invoicing in Marimekko style is elegant and effective Marimekko designs promise a functional, pleasant daily life. True to its distinctive style, the company has streamlined its invoice processing, too. While the objective was to have an effective system, the end result is a beautiful and elegant process. The previous system was far from simple. At Marimekko Corporation, in a year, about 16,000 paper purchasing invoices were processed and archived. The invoices circulated through approximately 100 checkers and approvers, throughout Finland. "The processing of invoices kept our purchase ledger staff busy full-time. During various stages, invoices were repeatedly copied; they were manually entered into the system and errors eliminated by verifying the calculations. The invoices were circulated via internal post. As some of the invoices were received directly at the company's shops in various parts of Finland, the purchase ledger staff did not necessarily have any knowledge of them before they appeared on their desks with an `approved' note on them.
